Candy Apples are a universal treat at Halloween. They are prepared by gently sloping entire apples in sticky sugar syrup, and then rolling them in nuts. Once upon a time candy apples are a familiar treat given to kids, but this tradition quickly vanished after widespread gossip that some persons were set in some substance like pins and razor blades in the apples that they would pass out to children.
