What are industry averages for the ratio of employees per server?
It depends on the industry. I am in a research based bio pharma with many physical sites. I would guess we run about 3 employees to a server. This is my second job in the same type company, and the other company was about the same. I imagine a different type company, like a construction company or a factory, or something where every single employee doesn’t have a computer and email, would have many less servers. I also worked at a parts wholesaler with 20 people and only one server.
