What are instument called that have black and white keys like the piano?

The piano is NOT strictly a percussion instrument. It is placed in the percussion section when used as part of the ensemble vs. solo playing, and is normally played by a percussionist when an assigned pianist is not available. The piano and related instruments that have KEYS are called KEYBOARD instruments. So are instruments like them, such as the mallet percussion instruments, whose bars are set up like the keys on a keyboard. To delicious: The piano is actually considered a member of both families, which is why I indicate that it is not STRICTLY a percussion instrument. You can’t place the piano in one family unless that family is keyboards.
