What are Leadership Site responsibilities?
• Schools identified their leadership team comprised of representative roles-e.g. general and special education teachers, principal/assistant principal, parent, paraeducator, related services and students at middle and high schools. • The team worked with the CLEAR staff to identify their own needs for professional development in inclusive practices as well as in areas such as meetings facilitation, effective coaching, designing inservice and developing parameters for the leadership role. • CLEAR staff planned with teams how their needs could be best addressed and delivered needs-based assistance. • Partner schools were identified and a mentoring relationship established. Networking across sites was supported through both face-to-face and electronic means.
