What Are Lennox Plans For The Future?
Lennox Industries is committed to remain a leader in technological innovation, and to that end we have been working in cooperation with the Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Institute (ARI) on investigating long-term replacements for R-22. Through this research thirteen potential replacements for R-22 have been identified and Lennox has built test units focusing on the two most promising alternatives. However, there are many factors to consider in adopting an equipment design that incorporates alternate refrigerant. Lennox wants to be sure that all of the issues are addressed and proven before we offer an air conditioner or heat pump product with new refrigerant. One of the more important issues is the refrigerant lubricant which is very different than what has previously been used.
