What are LIIFs core markets and demographics?
LIIF fosters healthy communities by providing a bridge between capital markets and low income neighborhoods. LIIF’s work is concentrated in three core markets: Southern California, Northern California, and the New York Metropolitan Area. These areas comprise nearly 20 percent of the nation’s total poverty population and have some of the highest cost of living in the country. LIIF’s lending is uniquely tailored to address the poorest, most challenged communities that have some of the greatest needs. LIIF also opened an office in Washington, D.C. to grow its public policy efforts. LIIF serves the hardest-to-reach populations, providing opportunities to help low income families build savings and combat practices or conditions that deplete their life assets.
