What are moulds (molds) ?
Moulds are group of organisms sometimes referred to as fungi. Moulds are a part of nature and break down organic material to its base levels. They are similar to bacteria but much smaller. The spores are everywhere. Moulds lives on dead and decaying matter. They produce a earthy odour commonly found in root cellars, wet basements, earth tunnels and compost boxes. We need moulds to recycle organic matter in nature. But we dont need to have it in our homes.
