Get your own solicitor. You need to end your tie to her on the joint mortgage and the joint account (and any other joint named bills or debts.) She could just go into the bank with you, and together you could split the account and sign off it as a joint account, reverting to your own names only. But she obviously doesn’t want to do this. Go into the bank and tell them you want to freeze the account. They won’t distribute money at this stage, as it is legally equally 100% hers and 100% yours (not 50/50 unless a court splits it that way.) But a bank can freeze it until it is settled, and in the meantime you can open your own accounts which she cannot access. You need to sort the account out EVEN if she empties it. Any debts and charges on it are yours too until you sort it out. Your rights and her rights are not the same as if you were married.
