What are natural sources of Vitamin D?
Vitamin D is naturally found in the skin of a healthy person. It is made when the skin is exposed to the Ultra Violet rays of the sun. Unfortunately these are the same rays that damage skin, causing it to age prematurely and develop skin cancers. Vitamin D can also be found in some foods, namely oil-rich fish. (For many years Doctors used to give children cod liver oil to insure they receive an adequate amount of Vitamin D to prevent Rickets.
