What are network drives?

The network drives are a way to map your allotted file space on CVM network to your local PC. If you save something to one of these drives you will be able to access it from any machine at the CVM campus that you log on to or even from off campus via a File Transfer Program. These files actually exist on odie, but your PC thinks it is a local hard drive. If you do not have the network drives mapped, contact the Computer Group and we will set them up. First is an active Ethernet jack (wall jack). If you have a jack and are not sure if it is active contact the Computer Group and we can test it. To have Telecomm install a jack, complete the OIT Helpdesk. This may take several weeks (4-6) depending on their workload. The second thing needed is an Ethernet card. Most new computers come with this. The third thing is the network config
