What are Nikonos lenses?
Nikonos lenses are underwater lenses that were based on a design by Jacques Cousteau, and first manufactured by Nikon in 1963. The Nikonos 35mm f/3.5 lens may be the longest continually produced photographic lens, having been made for 38 years from 1963 to 2001. Many people believe that Nikonos lenses are the finest underwater optics ever developed.
