What are paramedics? What can they do that EMTs cannot?
Paramedics are a part of Advanced Life Support during Pre-Hospital Care. They are allowed to do invasive treatments (such as start IVs) on the field and can give patients certain medications (like tylenol) to patents. They also intensely study the human body and how it works. EMTs are allowed to do non-invasive treatments and have a more limited range of medications they can administer to patients.
