Fetal disorder may be caused by many different problems or issues during the labor process. Some of these issues which may create fetal distress may include a prolapsed umbilical cord, the umbilical cord around the neck of the fetus, the umbilical cord flattened against the cervix and the baby's head, the infant in a breech delivery position, hypoxia, or some other serious situation which affects the vital signs of the fetus.  more
