What are some examples of French cuisine?
French cuisine varies by region. In the South, the cuisine is very different to the North. In the South, food is much lighter than in the north of France.
Cassoulet, a meat and bean casserole, usually including Toulouse sausages is very popular in the South West. Amazing salads are also a feature of Southern French foods. Tomato based sauces are also popular. In the South West, a type of Pizza, with a micro thin crust which is very popular. Foie Gras is also popular.
