Gorgonzola or roquefort are quite good with grapes or pears, but best bet is to look for local cheeses from your area. Most good delis will let you sample the cheeses before you buy, just tell them what you’re looking for.

My favorite dessert cheese is marscapone. Its like a cream chees but not nearly as sweet and not as rich great with strawberrys. Most commonly used in tarimisu.
