What are some good Rock/metal songs/bands?
Basically because rock and even metal are so broad in terms of what they encompass. I basically have about 3,000 albums and I would consider the vast majority of them to fall under the category of rock. But there’s varying degrees of rock from very soft rock to ear splitting hardcore metal…I like some from every genre. So, since you asked it in terms of rock/metal, I’m going to focus on the harder elements of rock which I enjoy. The other thing that makes this a harder question to answer is that I don’t know if you’re coming from the standpoint of someone who doesn’t know thing one about rock and metal or if you’re a big fan looking for something you haven’t heard before. If I knew I could pinpoint my answer a bit more, like if you were a metal fan, I could perhaps turn you on to new things that might have gone under your radar, but if you’ve only listened to jazz and country for example, I might want to start you off with the legends.
