What are some good, safe areas right outside of Center City, Philadelphia?

I work in Center City Philadelphia, but townhome prices are astronomical. I would like to be able to purchase a townhome that is right outside of the city so I can have my home and car, but still be able to get to work in 10-20 minutes. Thanks!
