What are some good steps to writing a good essay?
* Write for a purpose. Find your purpose, whether it be writing to convince your reader of your idea(s), or writing to inform your reader about something, always know what your purpose is, if you have a purpose then you have a reason to write good. * Have an Audience. Know who you are writing for and how they feel about a particular subject. * Know your Tone. Decide up front how you feel about the subject you are writing about and how you want to “speak” to your audience about it. For instance an example of Tone might be, angry, convincing, sympathetic, urgent or arguing. * Have a strong Thesis Statement.
