The main aim of a matador in a bull fight is to show bravery and style. And just because the bull has to be killed, that doesn’t mean it is worthless. Both are judged to see if they are worthy to fight one another. Therefore, if the matador doesn’t do well, the audience will start cheering for the bull! The audience likes to see the bull angry, and the matador to defy the bull with courage and grace. When the matador kills the bull as a finale, he has to kill it in one try. If he kills it in his second try, it is considered barely acceptable. If it goes over two tries, the performer has failed hugely. It is a very dangerous task because there have been matadors who have lost their lives doing this. If the performer does a terrible job, the audience will throw seat cushions at him.
