Rites of Passage are a universal phenomenon which can show social hierarchies, mark milestones in human life, and reflects values and beliefs that are important in specific cultures. Secular society has very few, and it doesn’t bind people too well to their communities.I would like people to try and give examples of new ideas to celebrate human life and transition so we can develop closer ties to people in our society and at the same time respect different religious beliefs.
