What are some of the behavior differences between male and female cats?
You may have heard that male dogs are often more aggressive and less affectionate than their female counterparts, but researchers studying cats made a surprising discovery. They found that neutered male cats are overwhelmingly more affectionate and less aggressive than spayed females. Doctor Benjamin Hart, distinguished Professor Emeritus at the University of California, Davis, School of Veterinary Medicine says, “so they’re just the opposite of dogs and that’s a very solid finding.” He states that the downside to those male cats is that about ten percent of them will engage in urine marking in the house, especially if there are other cats around. However, it is treatable by your veterinarian. – Dr.
