What are some of the most affectionate cat breeds?
Personality has nothing to do with the breed of a cat. It’s individual to the specific cat. Lapcats are very few and far between. But if you want an affectionate cat that will sit by you, purr when you pet it and play with you, snuggle with you – adopt an ADULT cat – of any breed or no particular breed. With kittens you never know what their personality will be like – while with adult cats it’s right there before you. I have three cats that were adopted as adults and they’re the sweetest, most loveable and most affectionate cats I’ve ever known. They sleep snuggled up to me and rarely leave my side when I’m at home. edit: Shaycos – you claim to have a Sphynx yet can’t even spell the breed name? That’s a bit odd.
