What are some of the possible consequences if someone is found to have engaged in a conduct that may possibly be categorized as violent in the workplace?
Individuals who engage in workplace violence will be held responsible and will be subject to disciplinary measures up to and including termination of employment pursuant to the applicable collective agreement, if any. Legal proceedings against the individual may also occur as well as other sanctions that are appropriate in view of the individual’s relation to the University, including expulsion from an academic program and prohibition from entering the University’s premises by the issuance of a notice of trespass. These situations will be assessed by the University’s Threat Assessment Team.
