What are some similarities and differences between Ancient Rome and Ancient Greece?
Well one similarity between the two is polytheism. The believe in more then one god. Another similarity between the two is how they both went from polytheism to monotheism. The believe in only one God and how the both embraced Christianity. Emperor Constantine made Christianity the state religion of Rome. That is why the Vatican is located in Rome and the pope is the Bishop of Rome. Many of the early Christian gospels were written in Hebrew, Coptic, Aramaic (which is a language that Jesus would have spoken at home) and then were translated into Greek. In fact a lot of Christian terms come from the Greek. The word Sin comes from a Greek term from archery and means to fall short of the mark. The word Amen is a Greek term meaning “So Be It”.
