I have the same problem and I made a tofu scramble. I got the extra firm tofu and pressed as much water out of it that I could, boiled my potatoes, dice up some green bell pepper, onion and garlic. At that time my potatoes were done and i just crumbled the tofu in a skillet with everything else and seasoned it heavily with curry(for that yellow color) and other spices. I cooked mine a little longer and got a tiny little crust on the tofu and it was great. It didn’t even taste like tofu. So good!

Three-year-olds can be notoriously picky when it comes to trying new foods, so dropping plain tofu cubes on your child’s plate might not be the best approach. Try starting with something familiar looking and tasting like tofu pudding. You can whip up a batch in the blender in a matter of minutes using packaged silken tofu. If your child is a lasagna lover, you will be surprised to learn that crumbled firm tofu (not the silken kind) marinated for a few hours in lemon juice with a little salt and sugar makes a great ricotta substitute! Once you’ve tried a few recipes successfully, you can start using the word tofu and getting your child interested in other tofu dishes, like marinated and baked tofu fingers or scrambled tofu. Finally, don’t forget that you can make quite a few baked goods with tofu, like cakes and breads.
