Volunteer or join animal support groups. The RSPCA is fairly well known, but they are fairly consercative and can be hampered because they rely a little on the government. There are other groups. Do your research though. A group that is a little “conservative”, mainstream or not “way out there” so to speak is probably better in getting laws changed. So belong to am out there group if you want and do your own thing (eg some people become vegans etc), but when it comes to changing the law and society’s attitudes, go more mainstream… Talk to your local representatives (federal, state and local) regularly and see what can be done. Write letters to papers (local and others), magazines etc.
