What are some ways to get from Greenwich CT to Jones Beach, NY?
Take Metro-North’s New Haven Line from Greenwich, CT to Grand Central. the round trip off peak fare is $16. Please purchase your ticket before board because fares are higher on board. Once in Grand Central, transfer to the New York City subway. Take the 42nd Street Shuttle (Black line the subway map) or the #7 line (Purple line) eastbound from Grand Central to Times Square. Once in Times Square, transfer to the downtown (southbound) #1, 2 or 3 subway lines (Red Line), which will take you from Times Square to Penn Station. The fare on the subway is $2 a trip, transfer between lines are free. At Penn Station, take the Long Island Railroad’s Babylon Branch from there to Wantagh. The one way peak fare is $9.75 and the one way off peak fare (for the return to Penn Station) is $7. Please purchase your ticket before board because fares are higher on board.
