The amount of moisture near the earth’s surface 2. The change or expected change in moisture near the earth’s surface 3. The rise or fall in air temperature. We use a common variable called the dew point to forecast the potential for dew forming. The dew point is the air temperature when reached at which dew will form. The dew point is a function of the concentration of moist air near the earth’s surface. So, the higher the concentration of moist air or higher the humidity the greater chance that dew will form.
