What are the admissions deadlines for transfer and visiting students?
Transfer students may begin their studies at Columbia Law School in either the fall or spring term; the deadlines are July 15 and December 1, respectively. Current law students who wish to take upper-class courses at Columbia but do not plan to matriculate for the Columbia degree should apply for visiting status. Prospective students should complete their applications by July 15 for the fall. As with our first-year candidates, the Admissions Committee will review transfer and visiting applications on a rolling basis in the order in which they are completed.
