It is considerably lighter than natural stone or brick. This is a consideration when designing your foundation. The more weight you have to support the more extensive your foundation must be. There it should be one of the major considerations for those in a region that is known for unstable ground. A brick ledge is not required on foundation to install the stone. This is partially because it is lighter and also due to the fact that the back of the stone is uniformly flat allowing for good surface contact for installation. Cultured Stone is easier and quicker to install.
