What are the archiving capabilities with the 320 gigabyte hard drive?
As a “rule of thumb” the REVCORD voice logging and call recording system archives a little over 300 hours per gigabyte of hard drive space. With a 320 gigabyte hard drive the potential is for approximately 100,000 channel hours of storage. We preset the system to record for 365 days and once 365 days have been recorded the system maintains 365 days by deleting and adding communications on a “first in first out” basis. Your dealer can change the setting up to 999 days, however the 100,000 hours will be the limiting factor. We recommend some type of backup for long-term storage and not stretching the internal hard drive capabilities for this purpose.
