What are the benefits/Advantages of using DC Network over Workgroup Network (160user)using Windows Server2003?

For 160 users, I wouldn’t imagine managing the network without a centralized user database. The main advantage, I think, is having single-sign-on. You need to sign on once, and the network services can authenticate you and give you the proper access. These services can be something like access to a shared folder, your mailbox, special Internet access, database access, etc. Haven’t you seen a user who forgot his password? If you have, a domain will make things easier for you. Another advantage is the possibility to use GPOs, where you can distribute computer and user policies across the network. Using GPOs can help you making sure your network is secure, or it can help you deploy software. You can also use things like redirected folders or roaming profiles, so users’ data is not tied to their computers.
