One awesome benefit that my children gleaned from breastfeeding was an ear-infection-free infancy.  That’s right.  Not one ear infection for either of my children the entire time they were breastfeeding.  In fact, the first ear infection didn’t show up until my older son was 5 years old!  Any MD will tell you that babies who are breastfed, simply don’t get ear infections.  And that’s only one of the many benefits.

My kids are not like the gazillion other kids around them that are allergic to EVERYTHING.  Breast milk is jam packed with all the best nutrients that the human body needs.  there is literally nothing else on the planet that can deliver such a power pack of antibodies, vitamins, and minerals.

Not to mention, babies thrive on physical contact with their mother.  What better way to bond than to hold your baby close, give him life from your life, and do so in a way that no one else can.  It is a very special bond that the mother and child develop in this way.  I am convinced that mothers who breast feed, develop a deeper spiritual, mental, and physical connection with their child.  My babies are now in school, but they still return close to my heart for cuddles and comfort.

And if you’re thinking that breast feeding is just too much of a pain, think again.  I cannot think of an easier way to feed my ever-hungry babies.  It doesn’t have to be measured, shaken, warmed up, bought, or borrowed.  So many times I have watched frantic mothers spilling formula, shaking with frustration while their baby screams for its bottle.  My kids never got to the screaming stage of hunger, and I never got to the frazzled shaking stage of supplying.  Why? Because the human body is just that good.  When my milk supply filled back up, it just so happened that my babies were getting hungry again.  We relieved each other of our burdens and both ended in a happy place.

Both babies and mothers can get use and pleasure from breastfeeding. You won’t find another magic liquid in the world like breast milk! It is easy to digest. Besides it contains antibodies that can protect infants from bacterial and viral infections. Research indicates that women who breastfeed may have lower rates of certain breast and ovarian cancers. So let’s find out these benefits in details: • First of all breastfeeding is normal and healthy for infants and moms. • Breast milk has disease-fighting cells called antibodies that help protect infants from germs, illness, and even SIDS. Infant formula cannot match the exact chemical makeup of human milk, especially the cells, hormones, and antibodies that fight disease. • Breastfeeding is linked to a lower risk of such infant health problems as Ear infections, stomach viruses, diarrhea, respiratory infections, atopic dermatitis, asthma, obesity, type 1 and 2 diabetes, sudden infant death syndrome(SIDS) and childhood leukemia.
