What are the benefits of IPv6?
If you think of the number of problems that we have all had trying to connect from one machine to another, those problems will essentially go away. NATS are gnats. There are a lot of benefits to truly go end to end. I’m also a believer that it will facilitate more peer-to-peer processing. Most people talk about the Internet as doing it in the cloud. Your e-mail may be there, your single point for rendezvous. But the Internet is a great way to get between two machines. I believe we’ll see more wireless connections between machines and creating meshes without any severs, just talking machine to machine. IPv6 will help encourage that. Search is everywhere in Vista.
