What are the best exercises to relieve lower back pain?
While my experience may be an extreme case (I have anklosing spondylitis) – I think my best pain management tactic may prove helpful for you. 1. Drink lots of water. Double your water intake. Don’t worry – your body will take care of the excess. 2. Try laying on your back flat on the floor. Don’t move – just lay there. If your neck is uncomfortable – use a rolled up towel. Do that for about 15 – 30 minutes a day. I know this sounds strange – but just try it. Set aside some quiet time to just lay in the middle of the floor and just relax your back. 3. Water. When suffering from serious back pain – I find that water works best. While many people say pelvic lunges and other gravity exercises are better – I have not had much success with them. When in the water – start extremely slow. Just walk back and forth. Try to be in chest deep water and just walk normal. After walking a bit – do some stretches. Don’t stretch to pain response – just slowly move about leting your body glide through th
