the best family place with amazing beaches and a family atmosphere is Halkidiki in northenn greece. The bad thing is that the best places and tips wont be online (its greece we are talking about) and the only things you can find online are usually the very touristic ones. Its worth the try, the place is beautiful, busy but at the same time quiet. Have fun ps. for example for something mainstream but really nice i would suggest the villages Afytos and Marmaras (the others around them are nice too)-google the names and good luck.
