What Are the Characteristics of Bullies and Bullying Victims?
Over the past year, national attention has focused on the problem of school bullying, and the Reference Desk has received many requests on the topic. On Tuesday, September 21st, REL-NEI will host a webinar on its recently published Issues and Answers Report, titled “What Characteristics of Bullying, Bullying Victims, and Schools Are Associated with Increased Reporting of Bullying to School Officials?” To complement this event and the report’s publication, the Digest is highlighting two bullying-related questions sent to the Reference Desk. This week focuses on the characteristics of bullies and victims, and next Friday will focus on bullying prevention programs and strategies.
