What Are The Characteristics Of Peter Keating, A Character Of Ayn Rands Novel The Fountainhead?
The characteristics of Peter Keating can be compared with that of a parasite, who just knows how to find a host to take away his blood. In the novel he takes the help of Howard Roark in many of his projects, but later when people come to know about his attitude and his parasitic nature, they start distancing themselves from him and he found himself alone in this world. Another of his qualities is that he doesn’t know how to handle pressure as when he gets the map of a building done by Howard Roark on the condition that there would not be any alteration in the design that he has created. But when pressure was on him, he crumbles and allowed other parasites to make technically unsound alterations in the design. So you can conclude that he is a man with no firm roots in life and he himself is responsible for being in dire state in the later part of the novel.
