The consequences of having no health insurance is that if you end up with health needs you can run into a problem with huge amounts of health expenses that you would have to cover out of your own pocket.  I’m not sure that this is always a bad thing but for some people with limited financial resources this can be the end for them.  They cannot afford then to pay for the medical treatment and medications.  They either will end up not getting the treatments and getting sicker and dieing.  Otherwise they get as much as they can but end up bankrupt without the ability to pay their medical bills.  Also, research shows that people without healh insurance are more likely to die earlier than those who have health insurance.  (This makes sense becuase people who don’t have insurance wait until the last possible moment and often its too late by then)
