What are the coolest things to do in Panama?
You can hike through the Parque Nacional, which is the larges park in side the city limits of any capital city. You will see monkeys and birds and other such critters. It is the kind of thing you will enjoy. Another cool thing, but it will cost money, is to swim in the Pacific and the Atlantic in the same day! How many people have done that? It can be done, as Colon (Atlantic) and Panama City (Pacific) are only 55 miles apart. You would have to hire a taxi by the day, about $80.00. Another cool thing, something that everybody does, but it is still cool, is to see the Canal. Here’s how: From Panama City, get a taxi to take you to the Mira Flores Locks (about $5.00). They charge for the tour but not the restaurant. So, say you are going to the restaurant, get in the elevator and go to the top floor. It is the best view and it is FREE.
