What are the difference between a standalone Motion Controller and a PC-based Motion Controller?
The standalone Motion Controller (Series IV) is intended to sit alongside your audio/video equipment and acts as a specialized computer in its own right, as the D-BOX Motion Code TM titles are stored on its own hard drive. The PC-based Motion Controller (MCI-2P -2 ports-or MCI-4P -4 ports) requires a Windows XP or Windows Vista (32 bits) configured PC. One Series IV or MCI-4P Motion Controller will control up to four D-BOX TM seats (chair, loveseat or platform). The MCI-2P will control up to two D-BOX TM seats (chair, loveseat or platform).
