Several dozen types of weapons were used by both sides in WW II. The British and Germans each used their same basic rifle in both WW I and WW II.The US used the 1903 Springfield in WW I, and at the start of WW II. The Browning Automatic Rifle(BAR)was introduced at the end of WW I, and saw extensive service with the US Army til the late 1950’s. Same with heavy machine guns, flamethrowers, and tanks.
