What are the differences between France and Britain in terms of music?
In France the idea of pop is quite wide. In England we produce a huge amount of fresh talent, but the French are very good at absorbing talent and picking up on people and going with them. And it’s not just British and American groups. Where are you living now? I wanted to learn French so I moved to Paris, but I wasn’t expecting the amount of success that I’ve had. Actually, it’s been really difficult to learn the damn language because everyone’s speaking to me in English. I don’t know if I’ll stay there permanently. Have you any plans to tour in Britain? I’ve got a big tour in France in October. The album is also being released in Germany, Scandinavia and Spain and Italy, and then in Canada in November followed by America. This album’s going to be keeping us busy for another 18 months, probably. We are going to be touring in the UK, but I don’t know when yet. We’ll just follow the wind.
