What are the differences between John F. Kennedy and Abraham Lincoln?
Although both presidents were elected during nationally turbulent times and assassinated while in office, they have more differences than similarities. Most of the famous “coincidences” that supposedly link the two men have been disproved (check it out on Snopes.com). Lincoln (1809-1865) was a Republican, Kennedy (1917-1963) was a Democrat. Lincoln was born to humble parents, and Kennedy was born to a wealthy family. Lincoln was mostly self-educated, but Kennedy attended well known colleges, including Princeton and Harvard. Lincoln was not affiliated with any religion; Kennedy was born and raised Catholic.
