What are the differences between sunni shia and kurds beliefs?
The initial split between Sunni and Shia came when their prophet Muhammad died. To put it simply, Shia Muslims thought that control should have gone to someone in Muhammad’s bloodline, so a direct decendent of Muhammad will always have control. Sunni Muslims (the majority today), on the other hand, thought that the best person for the role should be elected.
