While there are a few key differences between these series of jewelry blanks they are both of very good quality and suitable for making beautiful mosaic jewelry. However, the Designer’s Collection is more expensive because it is 100% made by hand by skilled metal artisans. Additionally the Designer’s Collection features completely vertical walls which often makes it easier for arranging tile closer to the edges. Plus Designer’s Collection jewelry blanks are available in a Copper and Silver-plate finish while the Base Elements Series is only available in the Silver-plated finish.
