The different climates in Australia are Desert in the interior regions of this continent, Tropical in the Northern regions, Mediterranean type climate around the Perth area in Western Australia, Humid Subtropical climate around the Brisbane area on the East coast of Australia, Marine temperate type climate by the Melbourne area in south Australia, Grassland surrounding the central desert area, Alpine in the southern mountains by Canberra, Equatorial at the northern tip of Australia and subtropical further up the East coast past Brisbane.
