Distinctive attributes cannot be standardised, but categories of quality can. Different qualities of leather can be determined and standardised. All our leathers conform to DIN 430/3 of the Deutsche Gtegemeinschaft Mbel e. V. (German Quality Furniture Association). Natural nappa leather / anilin leather:: The noblest nappa variation on which the natural skin structure can clearly be seen. This leather is the most natural and most valuable. Lightly pigmented nappa leather / semi aniline leather: This leather has relatively consistent colouring which is created by applying a very thin layer of colour pigments. Despite the colouring, the natural structure is still recognisable. Longlife leather by W.SCHILLIG belongs in this category, but has decided advantages.
