These types of abortions can be sub-classified into therapeutic abortions and elective abortions: – • Therapeutic abortion: – This kind of abortion is performed either to save the life of the mother, remove the fetus that bears some kind of fatal congenital disease or deformities or simply to reduce the number of embryos in order to prevent the health risks related to multiple pregnancy
