What are the different types of rebates?
We offer mail-in rebates for products purchased online or in our stores, offered by either Best Buy or the manufacturer. To determine what type you have, look for either Best Buy’s or the manufacturer’s name on the rebate form. It’s usually part of the mailing address (e.g. Best Buy Rebate # 55511, Sony VAIO RS Desktop $100 Rebate). Your mail-in rebate will fall into one or more of these categories: • Standard — Comes with the purchase of a specified item. • Bundle — Offered on certain products when purchased as a set (e.g. desktop, monitor, and printer), it can be either a Best Buy or manufacturer rebate. • Upgrade — Available only to customers who own a previous version of the software they intend to upgrade. • Gift with Purchase — Offered with the purchase of certain products (e.g. Gift Card or memory card with purchase of a digital camera).
